City Camp: Social Media Artifact

Artifact Reflection

I chose to create a social media post for Civic Tech Atlanta’s CityCamp event because, after reviewing their platforms, I noticed a lack of promotion for the event. To design the post, I used Canva and incorporated a photo by Unsplash photographer Louise Viallesoubranne. While looking through Civic Tech’s Facebook, Eventbrite, and CityCamp’s website, I saw that the event information was not presented consistently. To address this, I made sure the post clearly highlighted the date, time, location, and ticket link. I also included background information to help the audience understand CityCamp’s goals. Finally, I matched the post’s color scheme to Civic Tech’s website and incorporated their theme, “We Are Here to Save Us,” to ensure both visual and thematic consistency. This artifact can be shared across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and X so it can reach as many people as possible.
