As I researched Thomasville Heights Civic League’s online presence, one issue that stood out was the number of inconsistent event posts circulating on Facebook. Community members often shared screenshots, photos of physical flyers, or text-only posts to announce upcoming neighborhood events. While informative, these posts lacked a unified look, making it difficult for residents to recognize official Thomasville Heights content at a glance.
To address this, I created a simple, reusable Facebook event flyer template. The goal of this template is to make important information—such as event name, date, time, and location—easy to read and visually appealing, even when quickly scrolling. The design is intentionally simple so that anyone on the team, regardless of technical or design experience, can update it. It also leaves room for customizable colors, allowing the nonprofit to tailor the template to specific events or holidays while still maintaining consistent branding.
This artifact supports our team’s larger goal of creating a unified visual identity for Thomasville Heights. By providing a consistent event template, the nonprofit can present clearer, more trustworthy communication across all social platforms.
