Instagram Stories offer a fast, engaging way to connect with community members, making them an ideal tool for neighborhood updates, polls, reminders, and feedback opportunities. During my audit, I noticed that Thomasville Heights’ Instagram page was private and inactive, missing a major opportunity for real-time community engagement.
In response, I created a reusable Instagram Story template that encourages interaction. This design allows followers to respond to questions, participate in polls, give input on upcoming decisions, or share interest in local events. Stories are widely viewed on Instagram, so providing branded, interactive templates creates a consistent, recognizable presence while also inviting residents to participate in shaping their neighborhood.
Just like the Facebook event template, this Story template can be used repeatedly, ensuring consistency across platforms and supporting the team’s overall plan to strengthen the nonprofit’s digital identity and communication strategy. These templates also help build a sense of belonging by giving residents an easy, familiar way to voice their opinions and stay connected.
